We are pleased to welcome Mr. Christopher Semturs to the Board of Directors of Yours Humanly.

Christopher Semturs is Tech Lead Manager at Google Health, based in Palo Alto, California, leading and managing the Ophthalmology and Dermatology research teams. Born and raised in Austria, Christopher earned his MS in computer science at Technical University of Vienna. He joined Google in 2007 in the Zurich, Switzerland, office, and then moved to the United States, in 2018, to join Google Health, where his team of engineers explores technology solutions for improving access to healthcare and healthcare information. His work at Google Health allows him to be a part of the journey toward healthcare equity for all populations.

Christopher’s experience in giving back includes his volunteer work sharing the experiences of an engineer with high school students. His mission was to help students understand the wide variety of options and opportunities available to them through education, and specifically an education in engineering—opening doors and shining light on possibilities some students may never have considered.

Education equity is key to Christopher’s involvement with Yours Humanly. He enjoys working with young people and believes we best serve them when we help them gain access to new information and encourage them to embrace possibilities; and when we address long-standing educational disparities by providing equitable resources to those most in need.

Christopher brings with him his education and extensive training in technology and his experience in team dynamics, setting priorities, and executing on a plan with partners and teams. He is driven with great passion to contribute for the better good, through his work with Google Health and through the endless opportunities before him with Yours Humanly on behalf of children in need.

We are pleased to welcome Ms. Jewel Seperson to the Board of Directors of Yours Humanly.

Jewel Seperson, currently Head of User Research for e-commerce at Square, a payment technology company, is a leader in user research and market research with more than 15 years of experience in technology and financial services.

In 2018, Jewel augmented her professional work by dedicating herself to social impact work that leaves a positive mark on the community, not just financial gains. She launched 33Sparks, a social impact consultancy that develops research and strategy to drive action for purpose-driven organizations including social enterprises, nonprofits, and partner organizations.

Dedicated to giving back, Jewel has been involved in volunteer work throughout her career. Yours Humanly’s mission resonated strongly with her, as she is keenly aware of the inequality of educational opportunities for children—particularly the impoverished and those in need.

Jewel brings her background in research, strategy, and operations to the Yours Humanly organization to help further our mission and expand our reach on behalf of the children and communities we serve.

“I aspire to a world where there is less inequality and where all children are given the resources they need to grow and reach their full potential. I aspire to a world in which everybody recognizes how critical education is to the well-being of our children and our societies and participates in this mission to help all children in need.”
