Yours Humanly is holding its 2022 Gift of Schooling Gala black tie fundraiser on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at the Diablo Country Club, 1700 Club House Road, Diablo, California. Attendees will include leaders and advocates in private, public, and nonprofit sectors who recognize the power of shared generosity and who support causes benefiting children.

We are pleased to announce that two Yours Humanly scholars in Cambodia have recently passed through our K-12 Scholarship Program and graduated high school, earning their diplomas and joining fellow students in their caps and gowns.

Both grads plan to attend college: One plans to study marketing; the other plans to study international communication. Yours Humanly will continue to support these scholars in some capacity as they continue their educational journey and earn their bachelor’s degree.

Under our sponsorship, the girls were enrolled in the highly regarded Beltei International School in Phnom Penh. They have now graduated from one of the finest schools in Cambodia, with a level of education that opens many doors for them, allowing them to dream big. And, because Yours Humanly also funded their ESL education, both girls speak English, something they are able to do only because of Yours Humanly’s sponsorship.

We are pleased to announce that MDUSD Board Trustee Cherise Khaund will be a guest speaker at our 2022 Gift of Schooling Gala, to be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at the elegant Diablo Country Club, Diablo, CA. A spirited speaker and passionate advocate for inclusive educational opportunities for all children, Cherise began her four-year term on the MDUSD School Board in December 2018. She is the founder of MDUSD Education Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to funding quality education for students of the Mt. Diablo Unified School District, and served as its first president from 2017-18. She believes that the best decisions are made when teachers, parents, and community members come together to find the best solutions for all students.

We are pleased to announce that KPIX 5 Anchor and News Reporter Juliette Goodrich will be our emcee at the 2022 Gift of Schooling Gala, to be held on March 19, 2022, at the exquisite Diablo Country Club, Diablo, CA. An Emmy award-winning reporter, Juliette joined KPIX 5 in 1997 and has performed a variety of anchoring and reporting assignments, covering a wide range of local and national stories. The author of five children’s books, Juliette is involved in many community organizations and nonprofits.

Thank you most sincerely for your continued support of the work Yours Humanly does providing access to quality education and equitable resources to children desperately in need around the world, lighting their paths toward brighter futures through the power of education.

With your generous donations, we provided annual scholarships, uniforms and mid-day meals; computers; STEM and art supplies; and much more to children eager to learn and in need of an opportunity. And we provided relief to children and their families who suffered greatly at the hands of natural disasters.

Despite ongoing funding challenges, together we accomplished a great deal in 2021, positively impacting thousands of children. But there is still so much to do, and we can’t do it without you. Here’s how you can help.

Our annual Tee Off for Education golf tournament was held on November 15 at the beautiful Rossmoor Golf Course in Walnut Creek, CA. After a full day of golf under cloudy but dry skies, players were treated to dinner and an awards ceremony. Thank you to our generous sponsors and golfers! No matter their scores at the end of 18 holes, through their participation, our golfers made a profound difference in the lives of children we serve—and that makes them winners on anybody’s scorecard!
