The Children Have the Power to Empower℠ Award is a one of a kind award created by Yours Humanly that recognizes and showcases children and their outstanding acts of goodness in a meaningful way. The award gives children a platform to connect, share their stories, and see what others are doing to make a difference. The award demonstrates to family, friends, and community that even children have the power to empower when they lend a helping hand and an open heart.
The Children Have the Power to Empower℠ Award is open to children 15 years of age and younger, across the United States. During a three-month Nomination Period, an adult may nominate a child who he or she feels is deserving of the award by completing and submitting the nomination form.
The Children Have the Power to Empower℠ Award is open to children 15 years of age and younger, and nominations must be made by an adult (18 years of age or older). Therefore, children may not nominate themselves. However, an adult in the child’s life is encouraged to nominate the deserving child.
“Goodness” is the state or quality of being good, so an act of goodness is a demonstration of that quality in the form of a good deed or a program of ongoing deeds that benefit others.
