Yours Humanly has announced three recipients of its quarterly Children Have the Power to Empower® Award, which recognizes children for their outstanding acts of goodness. The Children Have the Power to Empower® Award showcases “service to others” in a meaningful way and demonstrates to family, friends, and community that even children have the power to empower when they lend a helping hand and an open heart.

At its February 2020 Gift of Schooling Gala®, held at the Diablo Country Club in Danville, Yours Humanly raised more than $120,000 for its local and global programs that provide underprivileged children in underserved communities access to educational programs and resources.

It was our great pleasure to recognize and honor Olympic figure skating gold medalist Kristi Yamaguchi with the Yours Humanly Leading with the Heart Award at our 2020 Gift of Schooling Gala, February 22, for her work with the Always Dream Foundation, the nonprofit she founded that, among other efforts, champions early childhood literacy. As 2019 draws to a close, we would like to thank all of our supporters. Yours Humanly could not have made such great strides this past year without your donations and volunteerism. Thanks to our growing universe of advocates, our mission to empower the world’s most vulnerable children through access to quality education continues on a strong path for 2020—with exciting engagement programs planned in local communities and in villages abroad.
