Our annual Tee Off for Education golf tournament was held on October 17 at the beautiful Rossmoor Golf Course in Walnut Creek, CA. After a full day of golf, players were treated to dinner and an awards ceremony. Thank you to our generous sponsors and golfers! No matter their scores at the end of 18 holes, through their participation, our golfers made a profound difference in the lives of children we serve—and that makes them winners on anybody’s scorecard! Yours Humanly is the official nonprofit partner and beneficiary for the Shreya Ghoshal concert to be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at the Oakland Arena in Oakland, CA. We are deeply grateful to the event presenter, Shor Media Group, for this partnership and their continued support of our organization. Yours Humanly is holding its 3rd annual Tee Off for Education Golf Tournament on Monday, October 17, 2022, 9am, at the Rossmoor Golf Course, 1010 Stanley Dollar Drive, Walnut Creek, with an awards dinner immediately following the tournament at the Stanley Dollar Event Center.

We express our sincere thanks and gratitude to all the Yours Humanly 2022 Break a Sweat for Education® 5K sponsors, participants, volunteers, and attendees. Thank you for making our 8th annual 5K a huge success!

We are grateful to Mt. Diablo Education Foundation for their partnership and support. Special thanks to Walnut Creek Mayor Matt Francois for his participation and for speaking at the event, and to Bobby Khullar for once again emceeing with enthusiasm, and to the Northgate High School Madrigal choir and Ygnacio Valley High School Cheer Team for kicking off the event with music and good cheer!

The 2022 Yours Humanly Break a Sweat for Education® 5K Run & Walk and free Kids Fun Run, presented by Pacific Service Credit Union, will be held on Saturday, October 1, at Heather Farm Park, Walnut Creek, California. Funds raised by this popular family-friendly event support programs of Yours Humanly, a Northern California-based global nonprofit that transforms the lives of children in need around the world by providing access to quality education and equitable resources.

Six precious Yours Humanly scholars in Hinche, Haiti, have graduated kindergarten and have now started first grade. Through our Yours Humanly K-12 Scholarships program, we are supporting these young scholars’ education by covering the full costs of tuition, uniforms, mid-day meals, books, study materials, school supplies, and all other educational needs from placement through 12th grade graduation. This is an exciting time for our scholars! We’re thrilled to support them and we wish them the very best as they continue their educational journey!

More than 60 young people and adults have completed a full year of computer education at the Yours Humanly Haiti Computer School, which was funded and built by Yours Humanly in 2021 to bring access to computer science instruction and technology to hundreds of underprivileged children and adults in the town of Hinche. The computer school serves children ages 10 and above who attend the Haiti Computer School after their normal school day to study computer science. Additionally, the Yours Humanly Haiti Computer School offers evening instruction for older youth and adults in the community who take classes to build their skill sets for employment opportunities elsewhere. Congratulations to these eager learners for completing a full year of computer education at the Yours Humanly Haiti Computer School!

Yours Humanly has named two teens as 2022 recipients of its Children Have the Power to Empower® Award, which recognizes children for their outstanding acts of goodness that make a significant difference in the lives of others.
