We are grateful to Mt. Diablo Education Foundation for their partnership and support. Special thanks to Walnut Creek Mayor Matt Francois for his participation and for speaking at the event, and to Bobby Khullar for once again emceeing with enthusiasm, and to the Northgate High School Madrigal choir and Ygnacio Valley High School Cheer Team for kicking off the event with music and good cheer!

The 2022 Yours Humanly Break a Sweat for Education® 5K Run & Walk and free Kids Fun Run, presented by Pacific Service Credit Union, will be held on Saturday, October 1, at Heather Farm Park, Walnut Creek, California. Funds raised by this popular family-friendly event support programs of Yours Humanly, a Northern California-based global nonprofit that transforms the lives of children in need around the world by providing access to quality education and equitable resources.

Six precious Yours Humanly scholars in Hinche, Haiti, have graduated kindergarten and have now started first grade. Through our Yours Humanly K-12 Scholarships program, we are supporting these young scholars’ education by covering the full costs of tuition, uniforms, mid-day meals, books, study materials, school supplies, and all other educational needs from placement through 12th grade graduation. This is an exciting time for our scholars! We’re thrilled to support them and we wish them the very best as they continue their educational journey!
More than 60 young people and adults have completed a full year of computer education at the Yours Humanly Haiti Computer School, which was funded and built by Yours Humanly in 2021 to bring access to computer science instruction and technology to hundreds of underprivileged children and adults in the town of Hinche. The computer school serves children ages 10 and above who attend the Haiti Computer School after their normal school day to study computer science. Additionally, the Yours Humanly Haiti Computer School offers evening instruction for older youth and adults in the community who take classes to build their skill sets for employment opportunities elsewhere. Congratulations to these eager learners for completing a full year of computer education at the Yours Humanly Haiti Computer School!
Yours Humanly has named two teens as 2022 recipients of its Children Have the Power to Empower® Award, which recognizes children for their outstanding acts of goodness that make a significant difference in the lives of others.

Yours Humanly has debuted an innovative, custom-designed school library and activity center for students from poor districts across Nepal. The library and activity center, supported in part by Intel, was constructed in an existing school in Kathmandu that serves hundreds of students, many of whom had never had access to a library before.
