The 2019 Yours Humanly Break a Sweat for Education® 5K Run & Walk and FREE Kids Fun Run will be held Saturday, October 5, at Walnut Creek’s Heather Farm Park. Funds raised at the 5th annual event will support the local and global programs of Yours Humanly, an international nonprofit that provides underprivileged children in underserved communities access to educational programs and resources.

Six more children in Butwal, Nepal began their educational journey under the Yours Humanly “Coloring Futures” initiative. Yours Humanly hosted its third annual Meet & Greet event on June 13 at the Capital One Cafe in Walnut Creek. We found ourselves in the company of remarkable people—compassionate, creative individuals who came together to learn more about Yours Humanly and discover ways they can help us help vulnerable, disadvantaged children through the power of education. We made many new friends and felt absolutely energized.

On May 7, 2019, Yours Humanly board members Vangie Long and Kevin Hennessy, and CEO Sunny Singh, met with Dr. Janet Schulze, Superintendent, Pittsburg Unified School District, and Eileen Chen and Anthony Molina, Executive Directors, Educational Services, to learn more about the needs of elementary school children in Pittsburg, CA and how Yours Humanly could help enhance their educational experiences.

Thousands of Underprivileged Children to Benefit from Yours Humanly Fundraising
At its February 2019 Gift of Schooling Gala, held at the Blackhawk Automotive Museum, Yours Humanly raised $92,000 for its local and global programs that provide underprivileged children in underserved communities access to quality education.
