Yours Humanly was pleased to grant the Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) $25,000 to fund the purchase of more than 500 Oakland Family Literacy Kits—LitKits—intended for three OUSD elementary schools. The LitKits are being distributed to more than 500 TK–2nd grade students at Allendale, Madison Park, and Martin Luther King, Jr., elementary schools. We are pleased to partner with OUSD on this district-wide literacy Initiative, and we’re honored to be a part of the district’s efforts to engage families in their children’s educational journey.

This LitKit grant was made possible through our Yours Humanly Coloring Futures Initiative, which supports early literacy programs and provides access to educational resources to children in need.
