How do you select award recipients?
During a three-month Nomination Period, an adult may nominate a child who he or she feels is deserving of the Children Have the Power to Empower® Award. The nominee must be 10 to 17 years of age and must have played a major role in creating, implementing, and carrying out the initiative that has made a difference in the lives of others. Nominations must be made within one year of the act of goodness.
Following the Nomination Period is a month-long Judging Period, during which time a panel of distinguished judges reviews all submissions for that quarter and makes final recipient decisions.
