Harita Suresh received the Children Have the Power to Empower® Award for the outstanding acts of goodness she performs through the nonprofit she co-founded, Little Apple Academy, that offers free, online coding classes to children, and through her Charity Canteen, established to feed her hungry neighbors and fellow human beings.

With kindness and dedication, Harita is providing access to computer science education that many children go without due to structural and social barriers. And she has donated more than 1,000 brown bag lunches to local homeless shelters across Jersey City, as well as funds she earned through tutoring to local food pantries.
