Rhea Mendonca, along with her sister Renee Mendonca, received the Children Have the Power to Empower® Award for the outstanding acts of goodness she continues to perform every day, making surprise deliveries of groceries, flowers, and essentials to elderly neighbors who are isolated and unable to leave home during the pandemic. Rhea and Renee have raised tens of thousands of dollars and made more than 1,000 deliveries to elderly friends and neighbors, homeless individuals, and families who have lost loved ones to the coronavirus. They even include handwritten notes letting the recipients of their kindnesses know that they are loved.
