After moving to the United States from Sri Lanka in 1984, Johann Vethavanam has spent most of his life in corporate America. However, his passion for working with children, made apparent as a coach on his daughter’s softball team, has led him to purchase a Jump Bunch franchise in the East Bay in the San Francisco Area. By doing so, he’s able to teach children the importance of sports, fitness, and a healthy lifestyle.

Now, he’s expanded upon his passion to teach children to lead a healthy lifestyle by working with pre-schools, city parks and recreation departments, and after-school programs to assist underprivileged children too. Subsequently, he’s formed a nonprofit called “Sports & Fitness for Kids” to enable him to work with the needy children of Contra Costa County, California.

As is evident in his Jump Bunch passion, Johann believes that education is an essential right for children. Additionally, he believes that education is the only way out of poverty for people in third world countries. And now, through his partnership with Yours Humanly, Johann is confident that he can give back both to his home country of Sri Lanka and other disadvantaged children around the world.
