When devastating floods swept through Nepal, families lost their homes, belongings, and access to basic necessities. Nuwakot District, where many Yours Humanly scholars and their families live, was among the severely affected areas. For us, the disaster hit especially close to home.
Through our Bridging Gaps initiative and Disaster Relief program, Yours Humanly responded with truckloads of emergency supplies, bringing much-needed assistance to 650 children and adults. Our Nepal team traveled directly to affected communities, meeting with families, understanding their needs, and providing essential relief during an incredibly difficult time.
This effort was made possible by the extraordinary generosity of our donors and supporters, along with the dedication of our Nepal team. While the initial emergency relief efforts have concluded, many families still face a long road to recovery. We are grateful to everyone who helped us bring comfort, relief, and hope to those who had lost so much.
